If attaining his goals meant sacrificing a village he would be hesitant, but in the end he probably would follow through if left to his own devices.To Ruan, the world isn’t worth living in without his brother and so the world’s contents are all fair game when it comes to keeping his only remaining family at his side.

Weapon: Brawler (fists)Originally the more outgoing, brave and overall stronger of the twins, he lost his life protecting Ruan from monsters. Although he isn’t capable of complex speech in his current state he has retained most of his memories regarding his brother and will fiercely defend Ruan in combat if necessary.Not a 'true' zombie in the same way QiQi is, Jian is more similar to an alchemical homunculus. His 'heart' is a construct created by his brother that allows his body to function (almost) as normal, but as it is imperfect and incomplete it is essentially just life support for the time being. When using his Vision he is able to channel the energy through his meridians for brief moments of higher cognitive function, but this process is very exhausting for him.He hates leaving Ruan alone for too long as he still views his brother as timid and needing of his protection.

In Teyvat the constellation is known as Cephalodi Picapica, the twin headed magpieThe jianjian birds are a pair of imperfect creatures born with only one wing and one eye, thus they must lean against each other in order to fly. This mutual dependence surpasses life, death and rebirth and it is said if one jian bird dies it partner will soon pass as well.Much the same as star-crossed lovers reborn as fraternal twins so that they may never be parted, the jianjian birds are an eternally woven pair.The same could be said for these two brothers, the younger born male and the elder born female, who fight against fate and heaven in order to remain together. As siblings their familial love is unbreakable and woe betide the one who would attempt to separate them.Note: the 'jian' in jian bird (鹣), * is not the same as Jian's name* (健)

Ruan: My brother got his vision long before I received mine. When we were younger he was talented with both martial arts and the sword, as well as the bow. It was only natural such a passionate, dedicated person receive a vision. As twins I felt a bit jealous that he was chosen and I wasn’t, but now... Now, I’d be perfectly happy without mine.
